Reformation Table
What is Reformation Table?
Reformation Table is what we call a growing network of relationships, centered on the Gospel, providing encouragement, and issuing in partnership for reformation. Reformation Fellowship wants to invite men and women who share the vision of the reformation of Christ’s church worldwide, men and women who delight in God, grow in Christ, serve the Church, and bless the World, to link arms for relationship and partnership. Those who accept our invitation commit to the following:
Participation in one face-to-face gathering each year.
Participation in 3 Zoom gatherings each year.
Starting or participating in a local gospel fellowship (Pastors, Women, Theologians, etc.) seeking to link arms for local encouragement and reformation.
In short, we want to create a real community of friends, gathered around the Gospel. The joy, strengthening, teaching, and love that we experience together, we then want to take back to our local ministries and communities.
Why Reformation Table?
The image of a table can sometimes evoke a sense of exclusivity. Perhaps we’ve all had an experience where we wish we could have a place at this or that table. However, in the thought and history of Christianity, the image of a table has always been a place of warmth and welcome. The table is the setting of a covenant meal (Gen. 26:30), a place of welcome for the outcast (2 Sam. 9:13), and a place of safety and provision (Psalm 23:5). A table is even a place to draw near to and lean upon our dear Jesus (John 13:23), and of course, we all look forward to gathering around table for the marriage supper of the Lamb (Rev. 19).
The table is a place of fellowship, whether we call to mind Jesus and his disciples or Martin Luther and his students. At Reformation Fellowship, we love the picture of a table as a place where genuine, heartfelt relationships are established, where bellies and hearts become full together.
What role does Reformation Fellowship play in Reformation Table?
Reformation Fellowship seeks to gather an initial group of like-minded, like-hearted gospel friends. We will seek to invest in these brothers and sisters through conferences, but even more through online and in-person times together. We want to nurture these life-giving relationships, enabling one another to then go and “do likewise.” Reformation Fellowship will also participate in local or regional times of fellowship and equipping (e.g. conferences, retreats, etc.) when possible and invited.
